my style

Nicola takes the same relaxed documentary approach letting you do your thing and celebrate with your favourite people.

Having been to so many weddings, I've learned that being as discreet as possible produces the absolute best footage.

Therefore by using minimal gear, small cameras and hidden microphones your guests will forget they are being filmed.

How long will you be there on the day?

We can discuss exact start time nearer the day but for videography I think it's important to be there for as much of the day as possible so I would generally say I will be there from bridal prep until dancing. This allows me to obtain enough footage to build the story in your wedding film. If you don't want certain parts of the day covered then just let me know when we have our meeting.

How many cameras do you use?

I use a minimum of 2 cameras for the ceremony and speeches and where possible I may introduce a 3rd angle depending on the venue and the setup. The rest of the day I will use one main camera this is a small mirrorless set up so it's not off putting to your guests.

When will we get our film?

Video's take longer to edit than photos so your wedding film is usually delivered within 16 weeks of your wedding. This can vary at peak times but I aim to edit your film as soon after the wedding as possible. You will then receive your films through a personal online gallery where you can view and download them. The gallery will be active for 5 years so you can go in again and download them as many times as you need.

what equipment do you use?

I use a combination of mirrorless and DSLR's just like a regular photographer. I want my equipment to be small and minimal something that people are familiar with so it's not off putting. Most of the time people aren't even aware that they are being filmed opposed to photographed. I also use small hidden microphones when recording the ceremony or speeches so they are not visible in your photos.

Can you take photos as well?

I won't be able to take photos at the same time as recording video but I do have an associate photographer who can work with me if you book both the photography and videography package.

Do you travel?

Yes absolutely I love experiencing new places and going to different types of venues. My rate includes travel within England and Wales however if you are getting married in Scotland or abroad please get in contact and we can work out reasonable travel costs.

Do you have any tips?

Yes I am going to be writing my tips and tricks into getting the best footage and audio from your wedding day in order to curate your story. I will discuss this with you properly at our meeting but if you want to hear more now then just get in contact and I can talk you through it.

How do we book?

Once I have confirmed my availability I can send over a contract for you to sign. I also ask for a £200 booking fee to secure your wedding date in my diary and make everything official.

How can we pay?

My preferred payment method is by bank transfer however I can take debit or credit cards payments as well. After the initial deposit you can either choose to pay in instalments or otherwise the full balance will be due six weeks before the wedding date.
