Priston Mill outdoor wedding – Amy & Greg!
Prison Mill near Bath was my first outdoor wedding in 2015 and wow what a stunning location! Set in the picturesque gardens of the watermill it was the perfect spot for the couple to exchange their vows.
My day started with Amy getting ready with hair and makeup in a nearby hotel. Her mum and two bridesmaids were on hand to offer her support and help polish off the bucks fizz.
Her brother arrived shortly before it was time to leave. He travelled with Amy in the vintage car for his role of walking her down the aisle.
A nervous Greg watched as his bride make the long journey across the garden to join him underneath the wooden pagoda where their ceremony was to take place. Guests sat directly outside basking in the glorious afternoon sun, looking on as the couple shared their vows, proving quite emotional at times.
After the ceremony drinks were served on the lawn. The couple had decided beforehand that they didn’t want many group shots. This allowed them more time to spend mingling with their guests.
Children and adults alike relaxed and enjoyed the games provided, playing croquet, giant jenga, a huge frisby and stilts.
As the guests started to go inside for the wedding breakfast, I managed to grab a few minutes to photograph the couple alone and these were definitely some of my favourite shots of the day.
The wedding breakfast was held on the top floor of the watermill. It has a lovely light airy feel and Amy’s sunflower theme gave a beautiful contrast to the room.
After food the speeches were delivered by Amy’s brother, Greg and Greg’s best man. All of them were extremely funny as well as being emotional at times. The evening then kicked off with cutting of the cake and first dance.
