“Hello I’m Nicola, a visual story teller/ wedding photographer. I use my camera to document and record incredible weddings, telling beautiful love stories of the amazing couples I work for.”
As a wedding photographer I try and keep my images very natural. I want them to last the test of time and not date with the latest trends.
I use a blend of reportage photography and creative flare. Ensuring to capture all the essential shots but also trying something different at each wedding.
My customers chose me to photograph their wedding as I don’t interfere with the running of their day. Instead I stand back and capture moments as they unfold, telling their story exactly as it happened.
A lot of my couples feel uncomfortable in front of a camera, I understand this as I feel the same. Knowing this has helped me develop ways to help you relax. Getting you to interact with each other naturally creating beautiful couple portraits.
My passion for photography started many years ago with my travels. I wanted to document the world as I saw it and capture the people in it. The more pictures I took the more I realised just how important capturing peoples emotions had become to me. This eventually led me to pursue a career in wedding photography.
Since then I have spent many years training and developing my skills. Having been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the best people in the industry.
Now as an Somerset wedding photographer I have shot in a range of venues from dark churches to light airy converted barns. I’ve worked outdoors in the height of summer and been caught up in heavy winter rain. I haven’t done a wedding in snow yet but that’s on the bucket list. Honestly no situation fazes me.
Being a wedding photographer Bristol based I work with a lot of couples in the South West. However I love to travel so I would love to hear from you no matter where you are getting married either here in the UK or abroad!
I genuinely love my job and find it is an honour to be asked to photograph any wedding. I am thankful everyday to be doing something that I love.
